Services held at Cedar Grove Baptist Church; Satin, Texas on February 25, 2017 at 1:00 P.M.

Burial will be at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Satin, Texas.

Mr. Maurice McDowell was born March 12, 1933 to his parents Lovie and George Lampkin. He was the oldest of thirteen children. Maurice was reared by his grand parents, Anna and Wesley McDowell.

Maurice attended school in Satin, Texas He accepted Christ and joined Cedar Grove Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Ross.

He is preceded in death by his parents, grandparents and brother, Kenneth Ray Lampkin.

Maurice is survived by six sisters; Annie Cromer of Waco, Texas, Mary Nubin (Earl) of Oakland, California, Ann Washington (Elijah), Evelyn Lampkin, Margaret Britt (Preston), Joyce Dixson all of Seattle, Washington; two bothers, Wallace Lampkin (Gloria) of Golinda, Texas and George Lampkin of Hewitt, Texas.
