Walter “Teddy” Taylor, Jr. was born January 27, 1949 to Walter Taylor, Sr. and Eddie Taylor. He was called home and passed peacefully on January 17, 2021.
He was raised in Gholson community and attended school in West, Texas.
Walter entered the armed forces in 1968. He was honorably discharged from the United States Air Force for his service.
Walter was employed at Owens-Illinois as a forklift operator. Walter was a dedicated worker and remained at the glass plant for 39 years. He retired in 2012.
When he was away from the glass plant, Walter enjoyed spending his free time hunting and fishing, playing dominoes, spending time on the farm tending to his cattle, attempting to dance and sing, watching westerns and sporting events, as well as barbequing for his loved ones.
He was married to Ethelnn Graves Taylor. Ethelnn and one child preceded in him death.
Walter leaves to cherish his memory seven children, Rodney (Demetrias), Terrance, LaTonia, Anita, Anthony (Ashley), Arishall and Nichaela; five siblings, Adell Taylor (Ivory Jo), Travis Howard, Annie Pearl Griggs (Harvey), Rose Taylor, and Linda Jackson, in-laws, Mattie Graves, Flora Estes (Chris), Benny Graves (Edwinta), Linda Price, and Allen Graves (Evelenn); and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
Walter will be truly missed, and his legacy will forever be celebrated.
