Virginia Nell Jackson Davenport was born June 29, 1955, to James McClennan and Viola Jackson Lewis in Waco, Texas.
Virginia attended Waco Public School. Later she met and married Donald Ray Hackworth, Sr. To this union Tonia Rayleen Hackworth and Donald Ray, Hackworth Jr. was born. She was a homemaker and took care of her household.
Later in her life, Virginia moved to Garland, Texas where she attended the Garland Faith Community Seventh Day Adventist Church.
She loved cooking and helping others in need. She was a person who took care of business but also liked having fun. She loved the Lord and every day she would tell you about Him. She would send you morning devotions making sure that she would reach someone.
Virginia Nell Davenport departed this life on Friday, February 26, 2021. She was preceded in death by her mother, Viola Lewis; brother, Kenneth Jackson, Sr. and sister, Bridgette Lewis.
Virginia leaves to cherish her memory: her children, Tonia Hardin (Edward) and Donald Hackworth “Bug” both of Waco, Texas; granddaughters, Bre’Asia Hackworth, Dehstayne Hackworth and Irmani Barnes Hackworth; great-grandson, Josiah Hackworth-Smith; great-granddaughter, Breanna Hardin; stepfather, William Lewis “Billy”; brothers, Larry Jackson, Duncan Lewis, Kerry Lewis (Stella) and William Lewis, Jr.; sisters, Charlene Hornsby (Ural) and Billie Ellison and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
