Sherry Lynn Moore was born on September 27, 1959 to Daniel Ford and Alice Ferrand (Moore) Ford.
She attended Jefferson High School. She started her employed at Visiting Nursing Association and from there she worked at Healthcare partners as a Supervisor of the Appointment for 11 years.
In 1999, Sherry relocated to Texas and began working at the Providence Appointment desk. She was later offered a new opportunity to work at Blue Cross Blue shield. When her mother got sick Sherry was blessed to get a job at West Elementary School. She worked directly across the street from her house and she and her mother were next door neighbors. She worked for 14 years at West Elementary as Cafeteria Manager, were she enjoyed her staff.
She cherished her only son Naon Divad Moore unconditionally and there was nothing that she would not do for him. Sherry loved and adored her companion Andrew Chambers of 34 years. A relationship that stood the test of time they had each other’s backs forever. Her only granddaughter Baylee Rae Shoaf was the apple of her eye.
She went Home to be with the Lord on August 2, 2022. She was preceded in death by her mother, Alice Ferrand Walker; two brothers, Franklin Earl Taylor and Mark Kevin Walker and one sister, Barbara Sue Johnson.
She leaves to cherish: her companion of 34 years, Andrew Chambers; son, Naon Divad Moore; granddaughter, Baylee Rae Shoaf; surviving siblings, Freddy Willie Shaw, Haywood Juan Shaw, Stanley Bob Moore, Darla Ann Katy Carol Brown and Susan Marie Washington; a special niece, Kourtney Washington whom had a special place in her heart; God sister who was her ride-or-die, Carolyn Lynette Lee and a loving host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends.
