Ruby Faye Minor was born on February 11, 1955 to Rose and Hubbard Minor in Wellington, Texas. She was the third of ten siblings.
She graduated from Calvert High School and then attended 4C College for Vocational Nursing. She worked for Manor Oak for some time then went on to work for Hillcrest Hospital in the housekeeping department.
She later moved to Rockdale, Texas to work as a correctional officer where she received her CNA license and continued to work at Rockdale nursing home.
She spent her pastime helping and serving others in the community and healthcare services. If she met you for the first time and enjoyed your company; to your surprise; your next visit would come with a cake to share. She also loved listening to music, watching wrestling, The Young and the Restless, western movies, kung fu movies, and anything of action. She loved to spend time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Annie Lynn Minor, and one brother. Herbert Minor.
Ruby leaves to cherish her memories: three children, Chondale R. Minor I, Tywon A. Minor and Kristin J. Minor; sisters, Addie Mae Carroll, Jackie Minor and Mary Ann Wright; brothers; Gillis BJ Leho, Jerry A. Minor, Randy Minor and Michael Minor; grandchildren, Kaitlin S. Davis, Chondale R. Minor II, Shalicia Chondrela R. Minor, Elizabeth Polly, and Joanna Newton; great-grandson, Josiah Carroll and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
