Roderick Earl Robinson, Sr. was born December 29, 1962, in Nurberg, Germany. He is the son of the late Reverend Sherman C. Robinson, Jr. and Mrs. Ruby Fields Robinson. Roderick was the second eldest of six children.
As a youth, Roderick was a member of Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church under the pastorship of Pastor Joe Tubbs.
He graduated from Robinson High School in 1981. From there, he enlisted in the Air Force where he served our country until he was honorably discharged. After his military service he served as the Fire Marshall for the Marlin Fire Department from 1993 to 1998. In recent years he was employed by Doyle Parks.
He was preceded in death by his father, Reverend Sherman C. Robinson, Jr.; his grandparents, Henry and Ola Mae Fields, Jack and Katie Mae Washington and Sherman Robinson, Sr., his brother, Zachary Robinson, and granddaughter, Audreanna Robinson.
He leaves to cherish his life partner, Terri Allen Craft; mother, Ruby Fields Robinson; children, Roderick (Tracey) Robinson, Jr., Louis Robinson, and Felicia Finley; bonus children, Lisa (Willie) Davenport and Kristian Craft; eight grandchildren; siblings, Julia (Odale) Thomas, Sherman (Karmen) Robinson, III, Stephanie (Ronnie) Thomas, Tracy (Royce) Hill, Gary (Candy) Clay and Todd (Linda) Smith; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
