Richard Lee Green Sr. was born on December 4, 1952, to the union of Louis Green and Margaret Green in Waco, Texas.
He attended Jenkins Elementary, G.W. Carver and Richfield High.
Richard became a member of Hopewell Baptist Church at an early age.
In his early years, he worked at Paul Quinn College. He also worked at LL Sams Church Furniture, Hillcrest Baptist Hospital, and Masonic Grand Lodge. He retired from Clifton Upholstery due to his disability.
Richard had a great love for football and the Dallas Cowboys. He loved good music, singing, dancing and he had a passion for cooking and enjoyed his lucky lottery scratch-offs. He was one of the family comedians that made us laugh until we cried. He loved to joke with his nieces and nephews. He had a great love for his family and his grandchildren. He loved coming to the church on Easter Sunday to hide the eggs and help the little ones find them.
