Minnie Williams Obituary

Minnie Lee Williams, daughter of the late Robert “Bob” Collins Sr. and Pauline Daily-Collins was born on January 21, 1937, in Chaulk Bluff, Texas.

At an early age, she professed her faith in Jesus Christ and as an early adult joined Hope Well Baptist Church where she was a longtime member.

She attended the public schools of McLennan County and was a graduate of Moore High School.

On August 18, 1957, she was united in holy matrimony to Arthur Wilford Pennace Williams Sr. Their union was blessed with 5 children. Arthur Williams Sr. preceded her in death on December 31, 2009.

As a result of her infectious smile, generous spirit, and gracious personality, she was loved by many. She was a talented writer, she enjoyed reading, and crocheting. All skills she fostered in her grandchildren. A devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and her influence will remain in the lives of all who knew and loved her.

She suddenly departed this life on June 25, 2022, when God called for us to return the life, he allowed us to borrow 85 years ago.

Preceding Minnie in death is her mother Pauline Daily-Collins, her father, Robert Bob Collins Sr., siblings, Rosie Collins, Bobbie Wilkerson, Corrine Mosely, Henry Collins, Earnest Collins, and Robert Bob Collins Jr. (RB), and her son-in-law, Victor George Thomas Sr.

Minnie leaves to cherish her memory: her brother, Lewis James Collins; children, Winford Earl Collins-Williams (Tina), Wilford Williams Sr., Myrtle Paulette Williams-Gowan (Roy), and Karen Belinda Williams-Thomas and Lorenzo Degrate Jennings (the grandchild she and Arthur raised as their own); 26 grandchildren, Wilford Jr., Lorenzo, Arthur, Bryken, Winford Jr., Corey (Cody), Joshua, Fredrick, Roy II (Jessica), Ta’Merrick, Victor Jr., Damien, Victor, Jonathon, Bear, Shawndrica, Minnisha (Eric), Myrcet’ez (Willie), Aresha, Tammy Jo, Tenesha, Myracle, Victorea’(Trevell), MyrT’asia, Shawna, Chanta, and one preceding him in death, baby June; 37 great-grandchildren and a loving host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and other extended family and dear friends.
