Millicent Ruenell Smith was born August 31, 1949 to Ben Frank Smith and Zerita Mae Asbury.
She attended Elementary, Junior High, and A.J. Moore High School in Waco, Texas. She graduated in 1967.
She accepted Jesus Christ at an early and became and member of Second Missionary Baptist Church.
She loved to cook and cater events for family and friends. Everyone loved her cooking. She loved talking and reconnecting with family members at reunions, family functions, and various other affairs. She loved to travel and enjoyed attending Baylor Women’s Basketball games.
Millicent Ruenell Smith departed this life on Friday, June 11, 2021. She was preceded by her parents, Ben Frank Smith and Zerita Mae Asbury and her brother, Victor Asbury.
She leaves to cherish her memories: a loving son, Myron Ridge (Aericka); sisters, Hope Asbury, Pamela Baker, Shelia Ross (Edward) and Rose Merry Jackson; brothers, Franz Smith (Valerie), Bronshae Smith, Francis Asbury and Lance Hicks; grandchildren, Kevin Scott (Ashley), Destiny Rice, Trey Ridge and Jaylon Ridge; great-grandchildren, Kayliegh Scott and Draiden Mitchell; Godson, Arrick Pullen; a devoted uncle and aunt, Wesley and Ann Browner; Godmother, Mrs. LaRue Dorsey; special cousins, Edna and Lance Trotter and Cynthia and Gary Washington; and a loving host of nieces, nephews, cousins and very good friends who loved and adored her.
