Marva Y’vette Robinson was born on September 25, 1951 in Waco, Texas to YD Robinson and Ruby Jewel White.
She was educated in the Waco Independent School District and graduated in 1969 from Moore High School.
After high school, she worked on several different jobs including Texas Instruments and Frito Lay.
She later began working at E.O.A.C until she retired in 2009 and went into business for herself selling clothing.
In 1990, she married Reverend Jack C. Robinson and they became one big blended family of six boys and one girl. They remained married until his passing in December of 2015.
She was a faithful member of Greater Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church for many years. She became a faithful member of Mount Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church where she served as a deaconess.
In 2001, she joined her husband at the newly founded Upper Room Missionary Baptist Church in Waco, Texas where he was the Senior Pastor. During their time at Upper Room Missionary Baptist Church, they founded an Outreach Ministry Program that served the community by providing household necessities, clothing and food to anyone in need.
She was preceded in death by her parents, YD Robinson and Ruby Jewel White, and her husband, Reverend Jack C. Robinson and one grandson, Zion Haliburton.
She is survived by her children: Jack Reginald Robinson of Meriden, CT; KeShawn Robinson Johnson of Dallas, TX; Brian Robinson of Waco, TX; Shannon Robinson of Houston, TX; Robert (Adrienne) Haliburton of Waco, TX; Rashad (Angel) Robinson of Lewisville, TX and D’Arias Robinson of Dallas, TX; 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; special cousin, Glenn Dale (MeMe) White Benson whom was more like a sister; and a host of other relatives and friends.
