Jim was born on October 31, 1970 to Catherine Cunningham and Donzell Thomas in Macon, Mississippi. He was born and raised in Macon, Mississippi. He later moved to Waco, Texas to be with his sister.
Jim was married to the late Jaqueline Thomas.
Jim was a faithful member of New Beginnings for All People Ministries, Killeen, Texas. One of Jim favorite things to do was, “Men’s Fellowship”. During these fellowships is where Jim really connected with the bothers of the ministry and most importantly with God. Jim accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at NBFAP Ministry.
Jim was a Cowboy’s Fan and was very proud of it.
Jim loved working on cars, and had sharp eye for details and he was a people person, and would help anyone he could.
Jim was preceded in death by his wife, Jaqueline Thomas; mother, Catherine Cunningham and father, Donzell Thomas.
Jim leaves to cherish his memory: his loving sister, Dr. Betty Hayes and husband, Wayne B. Hayes both of Waco, Texas; nieces, Ashley Shadava Cunningham of Atlanta, Georgia; Pebbles Ledbetter of Atlanta, Georgia and Erica Baskerville of Tampa, Florida; loving aunt and uncle, Dr. Bess Dunner and husband, Jeff Dunner both of Waco, Texas; aunts and uncles, Annie Pearl Rice of Macon, Mississippi; Cody C. Rice of Macon, Mississippi; Hattie B. Cunningham of Columbus, Mississippi; Lola Mae Cunningham-Roby of Brooksville, Mississippi; Nancy Mae Cunningham of Artisia, Mississippi, James Cunningham of Chicago, Illinois; Henry Louis Cunningham of Columbus, Mississippi and Lovell Cunningham of Columbus, Mississippi; two great-nieces, Nevaeh Cheeks and Janaya Williams both of Atlanta, Georgia; his all-time favorite nephew, Tobiasz Cunningham of Waco, Texas; and a host of other relatives and friends.
