Lola Sims

Lola Sims was born May 19, 1944 in Ohio. She moved to Downsville, Texas at an early age.

She was educated and graduated from the Downsville School System. After graduation and she attended MCC for Nursing. She received her certification in Nursing as an LVN in 1979.

She was a faithful member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church under the leadership of the Rev. Willie Thompkins. She later joined Second Baptist Church under the leadership Dr. Nika Davis and a faithful member until her health failed. 

She met and married Don Sims in 2003, there were no children born to this union. 

She departed this walk of life on January 1, 2021. 

She leaves to cherish her memories: a faithful husband of 20 years, Mr. Don Sims; a devoted nephew, Marcus Cobb and wife, Shinna and a host of relatives and friends.
