Linda Mollett

Linda Joyce Jones Mollett was born on September 15, 1953 to Robert and Leola Jones. 

Linda attended Axtell Elementary school; later she moved to Waco, Texas where she graduated from Carver High School.

Sis. Mollett accepted Christ at an early age becoming a member of New Jerusalem Baptist Church in Axtell, Texas. She was a faithful member of the choir, until she moved her membership to the Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church. Linda was a devoted member who loved singing in the choir until her health begin to fail. Linda enjoyed quartet singing and loved giving God praise. 

She married the love of her life Chedric Mollett on December 22, 1972. The two were happily married for 47 years.

Linda was known as “Nana” to many such as Angela Lewis, Dajour Sanders, LaTevia Simon, Nikki and Elbert Jones Jr., Shamorea and D.K Jackson, William “Wigg” Mitchell, Darrien Childs and Little B just to name a few! She truly loved her children.

Linda is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Leola Jones; sisters, Thelma Clark and Clarice Reed; brother, Henry “HY” Jones and a devoted mother-in-law, Goldie Mae Mollett. 

She leaves to cherish her memories: her devoted husband, Chedric Mollett; sister, Lola Miller; brothers, Milton Mitchell and Reverend Elbert Jones Sr. (Jina); her riding partner, Joe Ann Quigley; loving brother-in-law, Herbert Mollett Sr. (Beverly) and a host of family and friends.
