Mrs. Helen Faye Hall Thompson was born on August 23, 1928 in Reagan, Texas to Charlie Foster Hall and Alice Inez Bowie Hall. Helen was the oldest daughter of 10 children.
Helen grew up attending Salt Branch Baptist Church in Reagan, Texas.
She loved the Lord and lived her life as a Christian. As a young woman, she and three of her cousins, Annie Fay, Thelma, and Opal Lee decided to move to the big city of Waco, Texas. There they found jobs and she met the love of her life. The handsome Harold L. Thompson was real catch. After several months of supervised dating, they decided to get married. In their union, six children were born and they were married 59 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Alice Hall; husband, Harold L. Thompson; sons, Harold G. Thompson and Larry N. Thompson and seven siblings.
She leaves to cherish her memory: her children, Shirley (Frank) Watch, Haywood Thompson, Ralph (Denita) Thompson and Carol Thompson; 19 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren, 9 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Lou (Willie) Swindell; brother, Bobby (Roberta) Hall and a host loving nieces, nephews and cousins whom she loved very much.
