Elsie Watson Obituary

A lifetime member of 1600 South 2nd Street until the Church moved to the Greater Bethel Church of God in Christ until her demise. At an early she accepted Christ.

She attended Waco schools, Kirk-Wilson Elementary and graduated from A.J. Moore High School in 1960. After graduation, she attended Prairie View A&M University and Paul Quinn College. She worked as a Nurse’s aid for Regis Retirement and K-Mart.

She was a member of Brook Oaks and the Neighborhood Association.

Elsie met and married Willie Steve Watson Sr. and two children were born.
She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Clint Henry Sr. and Alice Williams Henry and one son, Willie Steve Watson Jr.

She leaves to cherish her memory: one daughter, Virginia Brown (Earl Jr.); two sisters, Ruby Henry Stewart and Alice Ree Henry both of Waco, Texas; five brothers, Charles Henry Sr., of Pampa, Texas; Clint Henry Jr. (Deborah) of Cedar Hill, Texas; Thomas Mickey Henry of Waco, Texas, Jessie Henry Sr., (Brenda) of Austin, Texas and Samuel Henry Sr., (Sherri) of Waco, Texas; six grandchildren, Hollie, Hope, Isaiah (Claire), Will, Elizabeth and Noel; four great-grandchildren, Hailey, Harmoni, Skylar and Legend; one daughter-in-law, Pauliann Watson; a devoted friend, Byron at Quality Care and a host of loving nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, other relatives and friends.
