Elijah Williams

May 28, 1949 ~ October 26, 2021 (age 72)


On October 23, 2021, Elijah completed his journey on earth at 1:30 A.M. at home.

He began his journey on May 28, 1949. He was the 6th child of Josephine Taylor Williams Bailey.

His educational journey began at Oakwood Elementary School. He graduated as a 1968 A.J. Moore High School “Mighty Lion”. He played football and baseball.

His occupational journey began at Manor Bakery. He retired from Manor Bakery and returned to Waco, Texas. He retired from Columbus Avenue Baptist Church after ten years.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Josephine Bailey; one nephew, Sean; two brothers, Charlie Lee and Mike Bailey;  two sisters, Darlene Bailey and Valerie Bailey.

He leaves to cherish his memory: a devoted spouse, Patricia of Waco, Texas; sons, Christopher (Evelyn) of Atlanta, Georgia Sherrod of Dallas, Texas, Candelario (Maria), Ruben (Vanessa) and Andrew (Rebecca) all of Waco, Texas; daughters, Demetric, Shalimar of Dallas, Texas and Christina (Reggie) of Waco, Texas; grandchildren, Kayla, Aysia, Trayvon, Alexis, Saniyah, Shakur, Savannah, Dea, Sean, David, Daniel, JoJo, Jennifer, Ivan, Leah, Ariana, Andrew Jr, Liliana, Jessie, Emily and Victoria; great-grandchildren, Lance, Landan and Layton; sisters, Mary Ann Hamilton and Eunice both of Waco, Texas and Cleopatra Kerley of Dallas, Texas; sisters-in-law, Doris, Sheryl and Elise; aunt, Carolyn Edwards; best friend, Marvin Nichols and a host of relatives and friends.
