Catherine Widermyre was born on March 10, 1933, in Waco, Texas.
She attended schools in Waco, Texas and graduated from A. J. Moore High School and McLennan Community College respectively.
At a young age, she was baptized and was a faithful member and Trustee of Dallas Howard A.M.E. Church of Waco, Texas. Dallas Howard later merged with 2 other churches to form Trinity A. M. E. Church where she served faithfully as an usher until her health no longer allowed her to take her post.
After completing her degree at McLennan Community College she went on to work in the pharmacy department at Hillcrest Hospital where she later retired after 35 years of service.
Catherine had a strong passion for sharing the good news of Jesus Christ to everyone she met. She had a strong belief in God and faith which was unwavering. She possessed a wealth of wisdom in which she shared with everyone she encountered.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Kenneth B. Reynolds Sr.
She leaves to cherish her memory: her children, Carolyn Ellis (Lee), Janice Brown, Wilmarine Walker (Claud) and Albirtha Randel (Elton); daughter-in-law, Doris Reynolds; grandchildren, Dina Trantham (Jeff), Catherine Masters, Jessica Stalling, Tinesha Huitt (Ken), Tyjuana Curry, DeRon Walker, LaShiraka Whitley, Devin Dykes (Jeiniece), Jaliesa Dykes, Shaina Randel, ShaRea Yett (Cory), Kenneth Reynolds Jr., Welmon Reynolds, Renee Pullen, Jarmon Pullen; a host of great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, great nieces and nephews, and a host of surviving family, colleagues, and friends that will miss her.
