Cathy Marie Stewart Bethea was born on March 6, 1959, to Christine and Nelson Stewart. She was the fourth child of six children.
She accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at a young age at Toliver Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. Cathy was a devoted member of the Wheeler Avenue Baptist Church in Houston, Texas until her passing.
She graduated from Richfield High School with the class of 1977. In Waco, she met her former husband, Lawrence Bethea they were married for ten years. To their union, two children were born whom she cherished. Cathy was a devoted, loving, and thoughtful mother.
Cathy moved to Houston, Texas where she attended, the Texas University of Houston and the College of the Mainland where she received a certificate in Nursing administration.
She was a successful entrepreneur and loved working with people. Her passion was to help and educate people on how to be financially independent and leaving a legacy for their family. She was a motivator and inspiration to all. She was the CEO of RichlyConnected and Regional Sales Director of United Wealth Education. She specialized in Financial Consulting, Education and was a Certified Probate Specialist, Mortgage Broker, and Realtor. On February 25, 2022, she was featured in New York Finance magazine as one of the top Entrepreneurs of 2022.
Cathy was preceded in death by her loving parents, Nelson and Christine Stewart.
She leaves to cherish her memories: a daughter, Lacricia Bethea of Fort Worth; a son, Demetre Bethea of Waco; grandchildren, Salima, Chloe and Zyimere of Fort Worth; Sincere of Waco, Layla, and Gracelyn of Tennessee; great-grandchild, Millani of Tennessee; brother, Rev. George Stewart; sisters, Barbara Gill, Georgia Stewart of Waco, Pamela Thackston of San Antonio and Detricia Coleman of Houston; uncle, George Anderson, and wife, Georgia Mae Anderson of Waco; and
