Bernita Daniels Obituary

Bernita Ruth Reed Daniels was born May 21, 1970, to Archie and Ruby Reed in Mexia, Texas.

Bernita began her Christian faith at Revival Center in Mexia, Texas. Despite her health battle, she continued to have faith, love, trust and she believed in God. Her scripture emphasis was Matthew 6:9-14 “The Lord’s Prayer.”

She graduated from LaVega High School with the Class of 1988. On October 22, 1988, Bernita married Cedric Daniels and to their union, two sons were born.

She was loving, kind, generous, and sensitive to the needs of others. She was also very energetic and known for her dancing step at family gatherings. Bernita had a maternal instinct with the need to protect and take care of others.  Her favorite color is pink which reflects her personality.

Bernita Ruth Daniels passed peacefully the morning of April 14, 2021, after a gradual decline in health. She was surrounded and supported by her loving family and the Baylor Scott & White Hillcrest nursing staff during the last days of her life

She leaves to cherish her memory: her sons, D’Arcy Daniels (Samantha) and DeMarcus Daniels; grandchildren,  Rosabella Daniels, Jackson Daniels and Kason Daniels; parents, Archie and Ruby Reed; siblings, Celestia Johnson (Anthony); Vicki Greene and James Reed; niece: Bobbie Greene; nephew, AC Greene; her special friends, Carmen Goode (Mike), Ursula Patterson (Clifford); Dashone Johnson (Steve), Melissa Docher (Omar); Wilma Smith (Benny), Shona Windsay and Jane James and family and a cluster of aunts, uncles, cousins from the Reed and Busby families and the extended Daniels family.
